President Luo Jun visited the exhibition of technological achievements of SDCS and spoke highly of SYSU Lion Roboteam

In May 20th, President Luo Jun was invited to the league activity held by class 1509, 1510 of School of Data and Computer Science (Mobile Information Engineering). During the activity, President Luo, under the guidance of robots of Sun Yat-sen University WoGang Electronic Yat-sen Lion Roboteam(SYSU Lion Roboteam), visited the exhibition of technological achievements of league students. As the finale of the scientific exhibition, the robot team presented a simulation exercises and robots perfectly completed lots of difficult missions. President Luo spoke highly of SYSU Lion Roboteam’s design and their efforts, and also expressed a hope to design a machine for landing on the moon in the future.

Sun Yat-sen University WoGang Electronic Yat-sen Lion Roboteam was organized by Prof. Cheng Hui in HCP Lab. Relying on technical support from HCP Lab and financed by WoGang Technology Guangzhou Co., Ltd., this team, on behalf of Sun Yat-Sen University, had participated in the RoboMaster 2017(National Robot Contest). From the chassis to the launching mechanism, from motion control to target identification, from the bottom to the top, every robot is completely designed and made by the undergraduate students in the robot team.
